Got a puncture? Stay where you are. We'll come to you with everything needed to repair or replace your tyre on the spot — no recovery truck needed.
A puncture is one of the most common — and most frustrating — motoring emergencies. Whether you've driven over a nail, hit a pothole, or found your tyre slowly deflating overnight, TyreBlitz provides a fast, professional puncture repair service that comes directly to you.
We cover all London boroughs plus Surrey, Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire, and Sussex. With multiple vans on the road, our average response time for emergency puncture calls is just 30–45 minutes. You won't need to arrange a recovery vehicle or try to limp to a garage on a damaged tyre.
Our technicians carry full repair equipment and a comprehensive tyre stock. Whether your puncture is repairable or requires a replacement, we'll have you moving again quickly, safely, and with full professional sign-off.
Every repair is performed to British Standard BS AU 159 — the UK industry benchmark for safe tyre repairs. When we say it's fixed, it's fixed properly.
Here's what to do while you wait:
Punctures come in different forms. Understanding the type helps us give you the right advice when you call:
The most common type. A nail or screw penetrates the tread. Often repairable if confined to the central tread area. The object may still be in the tyre — don't remove it before we arrive.
Sudden, complete tyre failure often caused by impact damage, severe under-inflation, or a defect. Requires full replacement — the tyre will not be repairable. Call us for emergency replacement.
Gradual air loss over hours or days. Often caused by a small nail, faulty valve, or unseated bead. May be repairable depending on the cause. We'll investigate and advise.
Hitting a pothole or kerb can cause internal tyre damage not visible from outside. Always have impact-damaged tyres professionally inspected before driving on them.
The valve stem can fail, corrode, or become damaged, causing air to leak. Often a quick, cheap fix — just a valve replacement, no tyre removal needed in some cases.
Cuts, bulges or punctures to the sidewall cannot be safely repaired. The tyre must be replaced immediately — a damaged sidewall is a serious safety risk.
A permanent repair uses a vulcanised combination patch applied from inside the tyre. This requires removing the tyre from the wheel, inspecting it thoroughly, and bonding a patch that seals both the inner liner and the tyre body. This is the only repair method approved to British Standard BS AU 159.
A permanently repaired tyre is safe for the remainder of its tread life, will pass MOT inspection, and performs identically to an unrepaired tyre. This is what TyreBlitz always performs.
String plugs and mushroom plugs inserted from outside the tyre without removing it are considered temporary repairs only. While they may seem to work in the short term, they don't provide a reliable seal and may fail without warning.
Aerosol foam sealants (like Tyreweld) are emergency-only solutions designed to get you to a garage — they contaminate the tyre and in most cases prevent a proper repair from being performed. Always tell us if a sealant has been used.
Run-flat tyres are designed to support your vehicle's weight even after losing air pressure, allowing you to continue driving for a limited distance — typically up to 50 miles at a maximum of 50mph — to reach safety or a garage.
However, run-flat tyres cannot be repaired once they've been driven on while flat. The reinforced sidewalls that allow this capability are permanently compromised by the heat and stress of supporting the vehicle's weight without air. Most manufacturer guidelines explicitly state run-flats must be replaced, not repaired.
TyreBlitz carries a full range of run-flat replacement tyres in common sizes. If you drive a BMW, Mercedes, or other vehicle that uses run-flats, we've almost certainly got your size. Call us for an instant quote.
Call our emergency line. We take your location and vehicle details. A technician is dispatched immediately.
We aim to reach you within 30–60 minutes. You'll receive a text with the technician's name and ETA.
The tyre is removed and fully inspected inside and out to determine if it's repairable.
If repairable, we apply a BS AU 159 patch. If not, we quote and fit a replacement from our van stock.
Tyre refitted, balanced, pressure checked, torque verified. You're signed off safe to drive.
